SYDNEY LEIHER

CLASS OF 2013

Sydney Leiher established herself as one of the most accomplished distance runners in Beavercreek Track & Field history. She captured back-to-back OHSAA Division I state championships in the 1600 meters in 2012 and 2013 and earned two additional state-placing performances during her career.

Leiher was named the GWOC Central Division Athlete of the Year and recognized as the Athlete of the Meet, both twice. She won seven GWOC championships and earned two Second Team All-GWOC honors. Her postseason resume also included five district championships, three district runner-up finishes, three regional championships and one regional runner-up finish.

Following her outstanding career at Beavercreek, Leiher continued competing at the collegiate level for Syracuse University.
