Coaching at Beavercreek since 2023, Coach May was named Head Coach in 2026 and led the boys’ team to a third-place finish at the OHSAA State Championship—the program’s highest finish since the 1943 state runner-up team, truly based on a team effort across all event groups. In four seasons, he has coached two individual state champions, seven state runner-up finishes, six additional state placers, and helped rewrite the Beavercreek record book with 12 school records broken.
He has also coached AAU and USATF club programs and is USATF Level 1 certified. His coaching philosophy is centered on building a team-first culture through high standards, accountability, and helping every athlete reach their full potential both on and off the track. A U.S. Air Force veteran and proud father of Aubrey and Nolan, Coach May enjoys spending his spare time designing, creating, and customizing anything and everything.
