GIRL’S HEAD COACH 1988 - 2001
William “Buzz” Seilhamer was one of the longest-serving and most successful coaches in Beavercreek Track & Field history. He served as the boys’ head coach from 1970 through 2001 and also led the girls’ program from 1988 through 2001.
During his tenure, Seilhamer accumulated more than 100 dual-meet and invitational victories while building Beavercreek into a consistently competitive program. His boys’ teams captured conference championships in 1979, 1982, 1984, 1986 and 1990.
The 1982 season was one of the highlights of his coaching career, as Beavercreek won both the conference and district championships. Seilhamer also coached two individual state champions during his tenure.
In recognition of his accomplishments and contributions to Ohio track and field, Seilhamer was inducted into the OATCCC Hall of Fame in 1997.
Seilhamer’s three decades of leadership, sustained team success and influence on generations of Beavercreek athletes established him as a major figure in the history of the program.
